Sex and the City

According to string theory, in an alternate universe they all wargame in 6mm.

OK, this is a little bit off the wall and you will have to bear with me.  Last night, when I got home Vanessa was watching an episode, and I must admit, I think this is a very well done show.  Every episode starts with the same formula; one of the above has a relationship experience and Carrie Bradshaw, the main character who is a columnist, then poses a question in her column which sets up the rest of the episode in which all four characters have a different but linked relationship experience that attempts to explore the original topic, and then Carrie Bradshaw sums it all up at the end.

Alright, you've stuck with it so far.

Last night, Russ mentioned he had spent approx £1100 so far on wargaming this year and it was interesting to see how all of us had a different reaction.

Phil, "How much?  It's not possible to spend that much on wargaming!"
Jon, "That's what you can do when you don't have kids!"
Ian, " How much?  It's not possible to buy that much and get it painted!"
Mark, "Don't tell Sarah!  What is said in wargames, stays in wargames."

I'm not quite sure what this tells us about ourselves but it is very interesting that we must all come to wargaming with different expectations and yet we are able to put on and play some very successful games and campaigns.  Like the show, its the differences exhibited in the individual characters that gives our whole group it's character.

Next time; Little House on the Prairie.

If I was any of them I wouldn't be playing 6 mm. In fact I wouldn't go out. I would just stay inside and play with myself!
