Meet the Flockers!

The R&D dept in action; Flockmeister Shakespeare tutors Russ in the mysteries  of flocking.

New Actions Required

  • We need to use top quality PVA
  • 1mm Flock is best
  • Mark to sample Khaki, Olive, Spring Grass
  • Mark to sample Khaki, Olive, Spring Grass and Dark Green
  • Mark to sample Moss
  • Mark to sample all the above with dark brown undercoat and light brown undercoat
We will generate packs of small, medium and large hills out of 10mm and 15mm foam sheets.  We need to evaluate whether we can cut 20mm foam sheets and provide hills for larger scales.  This will provide us with a potential 9x products for the website.

Queries

  • Russ to ask his colleague where we can source plastic bags for the hill packs.
  • Mark to test a 20mm foam sample.
  • Ian to sign us up for JoS - we need a 12' by 14' playing area!
  • We need to get a more powerful flock fabricator and see who will join us in purchasing it.
We aim to get the blend, production and initial boards finished by Easter so that we can attend the JoS with a functioning mini operational game and have a stock of hills to sell.

For JoS we are thinking of putting on something similar to our very first operational game with a British armoured division versus a Panzer Grenadier division.

We have two new contenders for our business/website title; Wargame Scenery or Wargame Scenery & Accessories.

Chaps if the plan is to sell Hills at Joy of Six we may have to be careful. Pete may insist that we have a stall like other retailers in which case there is probably a charge. However if we are just going to hand out adverts , price lists etc at the table that would be different.

Also you may notice that from now on, when you comment on a blog it takes you briefly to another page. That is because I have discovered that the default EMBEDDED setting for comments on the blogger is preventing many people operating on apple systems form publishing comments. Glad I found out before I set up the scenic website.
