Just in case anyone else is interested I have booked my train and hotel tickets for this Year's Salute show on Saturday 6th April.
Advance tickets have just gone on sale at the trainline.com.
I got a return for £49 which was the cheapest available.
Hotel was booked on Expedia - the Double Tree By Hilton at £93 inc breakfast. The hotel is a stone-throw away from the exhibition centre.

It's not the cheapest of shows and with travel and a nights stay you are looking at around £140 plus the £10 ticket to the show so understand it may not be appealing to everyone.
I am going as I enjoyed the 2017 show, it's the best wargaming event of the Year by far and there is a ton of good stuff going on all day.
